The University of Iowa Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Physician Assistant for our General Obstetrics and Gynecology Division. The PA functions as a provider of gynecology services in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinics.¿ Gynecology services include history taking and health assessment, physical exams, both in clinic and exams under anesthesia in the operating suites, management of contraceptive needs and hormone replacement therapy, evaluating low acuity gynecologic problems, ordering and interpreting routine laboratory tests; undertaking diagnostic procedures such as endometrial biopsy and vulvar biopsy, insertion and removal of contraceptive devices and providing general health education and education about particular health problems or situations.
