Psychiatric PA – Part-Time to Full-Time Career Path
Location: In-Person (Lisle, Hinsdale, and Downers Grove, IL)
Position Type: 1099 Contract (Transitioning to W-2)
Compensation: $75/hour (Starting minimum of 10 hours a week for first 3 months, then minimum of 20 hours per week thereafter. Guaranteed 20-hour weekly minimum after that.)

We are a growing private psychiatric practice in the West Suburbs of Chicago dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of our patients. Led by a double-boarded general, child, and adolescent psychiatrist with additional expertise in forensic psychiatry and eating disorders, our culture centers on mentorship. The practice owner has an extensive background teaching medical students and supervising psychiatry residents for UIC and Rosalind Franklin. The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic, growth-minded PA ready to learn and expand their clinical skills. You will work with adult populations navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and codependency.
This position offers guaranteed financial stability from day one. While your initial outpatient caseload builds, your hours will be supplemented by seeing Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) patients at Meadows. You will start with a guaranteed 20 hours per week, steadily growing your outpatient panel over your first year.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Provide psychiatric care to patients across PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care.
- Panel Growth: Maintain and actively grow your longitudinal outpatient panel across our Lisle and Hinsdale offices.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in weekly case supervision and direct, one-on-one clinical mentorship with the medical director.
Requirements
- Credentials: Passing PANCE score and a current or pending Illinois PA license.
- Clinical Drive: A strong interest in practice-based improvement and a passion for mental health.
- Presence: Ability to work fully in-person across our western suburb locations.
Compensation & Future Benefits
- Year 1: 1099 Contract position at $75/hour with a 15-hour per week minimum guarantee.
- The Future: Structured plan to transition into a full-time W-2 position as your panel grows. W-2 benefits will include health insurance, 2 weeks of paid vacation, 5 days of PTO, 5 days of CME, and a 401(k) match.
